1. General

These Terms of Service apply to all orders placed through maistudios.nl, operated by Mai Studios, based in the Netherlands. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

2. Products

All items are handmade and made-to-order. Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, slight variations in colour, size, and texture are inherent and not considered defects. Product photos are representative; your item may differ slightly.

3. Custom Orders

  • Custom orders are confirmed only after written agreement on design, materials, and price via email or the order form.
  • A non-refundable deposit may be required before production begins.
  • Once production has started, custom orders cannot be cancelled or modified.
  • Estimated production times are provided at the time of order and may vary depending on complexity and current workload.

4. Pricing & Payment

All prices are listed in euros (EUR) and include Dutch VAT where applicable. We accept payment via the methods listed at checkout. Full payment (or agreed deposit) is required to confirm your order.

5. Shipping

  • Orders are shipped from the Netherlands.
  • Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout and are not guaranteed.
  • For EU orders, no customs duties apply. For orders outside the EU, the buyer is responsible for any applicable import duties and taxes.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by carriers or customs.

6. Returns & Refunds

  • Standard items: Under EU consumer law, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receipt, without giving a reason, provided the item is unused and in its original condition.
  • Custom-made items: Custom and personalised orders are exempt from the EU right of withdrawal under Article 16(c) of Directive 2011/83/EU and are non-refundable unless faulty.
  • If your item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours with photos and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All designs, photos, and content on maistudios.nl are the property of Mai Studios. You may not reproduce or use them without written permission.

8. Liability

Mai Studios is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. Our liability is limited to the value of the order in question.

9. Disputes & Governing Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
